Build Japanese vocabulary by connecting words to pictures.
Learning Japanese doesn't have to start with memorizing long word lists. These 192 Japanese Picture Cards use clear, simple images to help you connect each Japanese word directly to what it represents.
Picture First. Japanese on the Back.
The front of each card shows the picture only, so it doesn't give away the answer. Turn the card over to find the Japanese word in Hiragana, Katakana, Kanji where applicable, and Romaji.
There is no English on the cards, encouraging you to make a direct connection between the picture and the Japanese word.
Practice at Your Level
If you already know Romaji and want to challenge yourself, the Romaji is positioned along the edge of the card so you can easily cover it with your thumb while practicing.
Eight additional reference cards provide English-Japanese translations when you need a quick lookup.
Take Your Japanese Practice Anywhere
Each card measures 3.5 × 5.5 inches—large enough for comfortable viewing while still easy to take along in a bag or backpack.
Practice at home, in class, during your commute, or while traveling. Pull out a few cards whenever you have time and keep building your Japanese vocabulary wherever you are.
