Great for speech therapy!

These are perfect for speech therapy or for at home practice for those with aphasia. The written word is on a separate card, making matching possible. You can’t turn the card over to get the answer, which is also helpful in these cases!

Bought these to challenge my brain daily on short term memory.

Having typical mild older person memory lose of short term memory. Looking for ways to train my brain to remember things. I pick out three to five cards a day in the morning, look at them and put them in a drawer to see if I remember what cards I picked later in the day.

Great for matching

Love that the picture & word are on separate cards. My (non verbal) child can match them, which we can’t do with regular double-sided cards. Sturdy construction and SO many words!

Hmmm

Not sure why they put the actual word for the picture shown on a different card - but their own logo on the back of the card with the image. The word for the image shown should be on the back of that same card - you could have twice the number of items. Separating the words and images like this …. Confusing for an Alzheimer’s patient - now I have to staple them together or write the name on the back and waste half the deck -

An excellent resource

These cards are great for playing Go Fish or Memory. I like that the match for the picture card is a card with the description printed on it. So the child gets the visual and the words.

Good

Only gave it a four as they should have written the words in the back of the card and not a separate card

Great for English Language Learners!

These are excellent vocabulary cards to use for English Language Learners. The cards can be used face up to match or as flash cards without the words. They are the same thickness as a playing card. There are so many categories of vocabulary that I listed them on the box for easier access.
Great buy!

great for teaching words to nonverbal child

my son can match the words to the pictures since he is nonverbal; regular flashcards dont work for his way or learning or showing us what he knows, cards could still be thicker for children, think posterboard instead of regular card style

Therapy Materials

I am a Speech-Language Pathologist and wanted something quick and convenient for various goals including but not limited to categorization, naming, and memory. Some of the pictures aren't perfect but the variety in the box is awesome.

Great for Stroke Survivor Rehab

Bought this large set for a friend who is just starting recovery/ rehabilitation from a stroke. This set has good variety of different categories to help work memory, word recognition, image and word associations. These are some of the activities that Occupational Therapists recommend to help stroke survivors.

A treasure trove of cards!

Surprisingly, it is very difficult to find word-picture matching cards, even though this is a very basic skill. So, I was delighted to find these! The number alone was enough for me to buy them. I like that the words are separated by category and color coded. Pictures are simple, yet clear. A good variety of words, including verbs. One very small quibble - I wish the letter ‘a’ was the primary ‘a’ (like we print it), which would be easier for early learners. However, overall I would highly recommend.

Good selection, flimsy cards

Well, I was excited to find a game with the matching words/ items for my autistic son. The problem is that most of these kids have sensory and regulatory problems so they bend cards when they play with them. These cards are very flimsy, like cheap playing cards. If they were on a sturdy cardboard I would give them five stars. For the cost, they should be sturdier.
